Our Stay at 25hours Hotel Vienna: Full Review

The 25 Hours Hotel brings circus fun to central Vienna, Austria. You’ll find it next to famous spots like the Museum Quarter, City Hall, & historic center. What makes this hotel special? First, there’s a cool rooftop bar where locals love to hang out.

Then there’s the restaurant serving what might be Vienna’s best breakfast buffet – trust us it’s amazing! The hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices for such a perfect location. The circus theme runs throughout the building making your stay both fun & comfortable. The rooms are clean and modern, with playful touches that remind you of the big top. You’re just steps away from Vienna’s main attractions, making it easy to explore the city.

Whether you’re visiting in summer or winter, this hotel stands out as Vienna’s most unique place to stay. It’s perfect for both fun-loving tourists and business travelers who want something different from the usual hotel experience.

We got to Vienna really late at night and made a mistake by taking the subway instead of the free hotel shuttle bus we didn’t know about. After getting off at Volkstheatre station we walked tiredly toward our hotel, 25 Hours Hotel. The hotel was super easy to spot because of its huge bright sign that said “25 HOURS HOTEL, COME AS YOU ARE.” We could see it from far away. Another fun sign on the building read “WE ARE ALL MAD HERE,” which made us smile despite being super tired from our long 18-hour trip from California. The front desk staff was friendly and showed us to our room.

Our room had cool circus-themed art on the walls, & the bed looked so inviting that we dropped our backpacks and fell asleep right away.

A bright and eye-catching wall painting decorates the space above our bed at 25 Hours Hotel in Vienna.

After waking up tired from our travels, we went straight to eat breakfast. The breakfast at 25 Hours Hotel was incredible! They had so much food to choose from. There were fresh pastries different kinds of bread, and real Vienna sausages – much better than what we get back home in America.

The hotel even keeps beehives on the roof, so guests can enjoy fresh honeycomb at breakfast. We loved trying all the cheeses especially one called “mountain cheese,” along with meats, fresh vegetables, fruits, and cereals. They had everything you could think of! The breakfast was so filling that we didn’t need to eat lunch, which helped us save money during our trip.

The restaurant at 25 Hours Hotel is called 1500 Foodmakers and it serves up the best breakfast in Vienna. Seriously, do NOT skip the breakfast, you will regret it.

After eating a big breakfast, we went downstairs to check out the Mermaid Cave, a fun name for the large spa located under the 25 Hours Hotel. The spa area has a beautiful wall painting of a mermaid, plus a gym sauna, and massage rooms. The best part? They installed actual swings from the ceiling!

We couldn’t resist playing on them like kids and spent way too much time swinging back & forth before finally leaving the hotel to start our day.

Better yet, there’s a subway station just 3 minutes away on foot, making it simple to visit the beautiful Schonbrunn Palace or explore other parts of the city. The hotel offers some great travel options. Guests can borrow a Mini-Cooper car for free – which is pretty amazing!

If you prefer cycling, you can also rent bikes directly from the hotel. We chose to walk around Vienna during our winter stay. We were excited to find three Christmas Markets close to the hotel: Spittelburg Market, Maria Theresa Market and the main Christmas Market at the City Hall. Each one was just a short walk away making it easy to visit all three.
